Morning Tour
Hanoi is the capital city of Viet Nam. Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples.…
Haft-day tour of Vietnam’s capital, including Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum (close on Monday and Friday), the house number 54, the traditional stilt house, the revered One-Pillar Pagoda and Hoalo prison, also referred to as the Hanoi Hilton. Just before lunch, go by Cyclo 1 hour around the Old Quarter to explore the diversified architecture of Hanoi and its famous 36 streets of the Old Quarter. Back to your hotel at 12.00.
Afternoon Tour.
In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) where you can discover the diversity of Vietnam’s many ethnic groups. You can also visit Thu Huong Lacquer Arts & Workshop where you will learn about history of lacquer, when it appeared in the world and how it developed through centuries. You will also learn about the color that is made from tree bark and the technique of using it, making difference between Japanese or Chinese lacquer with Vietnamese one, and get to know the reason why the traditional Vietnamese lacquer takes a long time to finish.
On the way back to city center, you have a stop at Ngoc Son temple set on a tiny island on the picturesque Hoan kiem Lake to take some photos before you enjoy a walking tour around the Old Quarter. This bustling area of narrow streets and alleys is home to literally thousands of small businesses and shopkeepers. It's a great place to explore with plenty of photo opportunities all around you.
Finish the day with a Water Puppet show. This unique, traditional art form originates from rural festivals. Both men and women stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk, laugh and even dance on the surface as the story takes place. Back to your hotel at 17.00.
