You will start the tour by visiting Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Enjoy the architectural and historical aspects of Uncle Ho’s final resting-palace. Just next door is Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts where he used to live in the past. Lying to one side of the Mausoleum is the One Pillar Pagoda, built by King Ly Thai To in 1049 the structure has become an important symbol for the people of Hanoi.

Continue to visit the Temper of Literature (Quoc Tu Giam) – Vietnam’s first University constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past. Lunch at local restaurants. 

Afternoon, proceed to visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) where you can discover the diversity of Vietnam’s many ethnic groups. You can also visit Thu Huong Lacquer Arts & Workshop where you will learn about history of lacquer, when it appeared in the world and how it developed through centuries. You will also learn about the color that is made from tree bark and the technique of using it, making difference between Japanese or Chinese lacquer with Vietnamese one, and get to know the reason why the traditional Vietnamese lacquer takes a long time to finish.

After that we will take you to the old quarter and ẹnjoy 45 minute Cyclo tour around the bustling old quarter to experience the ordinary life in Hanoi. Back to your hotel at 17.00.
