DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (D)

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Vietnam's capital of Hanoi, your tour guide will welcome you outside the customs area holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel for check-in. The room is at your disposal from 14h00. We’ll then proceed with a sightseeing tour of Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI - MAI CHAU (B,L/D)

Isolated Mai Chau town and the nearby villages are in a valley around 139km from Hanoi and only 150 meters above sea level. Nestled between two towering cliffs and surrounded by emerald green paddies, it is an enchanting sight as you approach down the windy cliffside road and the villages and surrounding countryside present an idyllic rural scene that could easily charm you into staying longer than intended. 

In spring Mai Chau is a bright, almost parrot-green and by autumn this green transforms into golden hues as the rice approaches harvest. Taking the time to watch these transitions of color seems like a perfectly useful way to spend your time there.

Have breakfast at hotel and check-out of your room. At 07.45 AM: Your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer about 4 to 4.5 hours to Mai Chau - home of Thai ethnic people. Arrive in Mai Chau in the late morning, check-in, and enjoy lunch at a local house.

In the afternoon, cycle to explore Mai Chau's beautiful ethnic villages including Na Thia, Not, Pom Coong, Lac, and Chieng Chau villages. Be welcomed by the friendly local people, talk with them and discover their traditional culture.

For evening enjoyment, you may choose to take part in a traditional Thai dance show with Ruou Can (a local wine).

DAY 4: MAI CHAU - NINH BINH (B/L/D)

Have breakfast at the hotel and check-out of your room. 

At 07.45 AM: Drive to Trang An – Ninh Binh, situated in an area full of vast rice fields, limestone rock formations, and caves. Upon arrival, you make a trip on small rowing boats through the spectacular area, followed by lunch in a local restaurant.

PM: Bicycle tour around rice fields in Tam Coc village. Visit Bich Dong pagoda. After the tour, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Dinner at a local restaurant in Ninh Binh.

DAY 5: NINH BINH - HALONG BAY (B/L/D )

Have breakfast at the hotel and check-out of your room. At 08.00 AM: Transfer to Halong Bay from your hotel in NINH BINH. 

12.00 - 12.30: Arrive at Halong International Cruise Port.

12.30 - 13.00: Boarding on Luxury Cruise and enjoy some light refreshments while the boat is heading towards some incredible landscapes in the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site. A delectable buffet lunch with a feast of choices is served in the restaurant. Savor your first hours in Halong Bay on the sun deck by simply letting your eyes wander around the scenery.

We arrive at the area of Cua Van floating fishing village. From here we start to explore a cave, named Tien Ong, and the floating fishing village. Tien Ong is the most recently explored cave. It shows evidence of human civilization dating back to 10,000 – 8,000 BC. The cave is just 5 meters above sea level, 50 meters deep, and covers 1000 square meters. Our guide takes you on a loop through the cave and explains the historical findings and the cave’s particularities.

The voyage continues to the fishing village. With a small bamboo boat rowed by the local people, we move around in the calm sea of this secluded area and gain an insight into village life.

After returning to the boat we sail to the overnight mooring area, Luom Bo. During this time Halong Bay reveals its most magnificent beauty - we call it the “blue hour”. Rewind on the sun deck with a drink of your choice and let the moment sink in. During the sailing time, our Chef demonstrates as well the preparation of particular Vietnamese dishes. Feel free to join and practice by yourself.

Dinner is served in the restaurant either à la carte or buffet style. Afterward, the night is yours to kick back and abundantly enjoy this unique moment amidst a surreal landscape. A presentation in our dining area with more interesting facts and insights on Halong Bay is also offered after dinner. We wish you a good night in Halong Bay where once upon a time Dragons played with sparkling jewels.

DAY 6: HALONG - HANOI AIRPORT -  DANANG  (B/L)

For early risers (~6.30 o’clock) tea, coffee and pastries are available at the restaurant area. A Tai Chi class is offered on the sundeck again to ease the mind and muscles.

The boat continues to sail to Titop Island. We set over by tender to this little landmass in the bay. Prepare yourself for a refreshing morning swim on a sandy beach beneath high rock formations. If you prefer to be more active climb up to the hilltop of Titop Island from where you have stunning views over Halong Bay (it is 400 stone steps up which takes about 20 minutes to the top, minimal fitness, and proper footwear is required). There is also a viewing platform about halfway up with great panoramic views.

Back on board (around 08:45), you may like to shower and freshen up. Now it is time to enjoy the last sailing time back to the harbor. A full breakfast is served in the dining room. Relax on the sun deck or dine in the restaurant while savoring the last cruise moments of this iconic site before arriving back on shore.

Afterward, transfer back to Hanoi Airport for the flight to Danang. Flight……….. Arrive at Danang Airport and transfer to the hotel in Hoi An to check-in. Dinner on your own.

DAY 7: HOI AN CITY TOUR (B/L)

AM: We take a walking tour of Hoi An ancient town. Visit the Thang Loi Handicraft workshop in Phan Chu Trinh Street where we have the chance to experience all the typical traditional handicrafts of Hoi An: wood carving, mat weaving, lantern making, silk worm raising, spinning and weaving, table cloth making and embroidery picture. These handicrafts made a great contribution to upgrading the living standard of local people since Hoi An turned to be a popular destination for tourists. Then, we continue to discover the hidden charm of Hoi An ancient town. We will visit a Chinese temple, the Tan Ky house, the Japanese bridge, and the ceramics museum. Lunch at a local restaurant.

PM: Bicycle tour around Hoi An city to visit villages and see how people grow vegetables as well as their daily life. Dinner on your own.

DAY 8: DA NANG - HUE (B,/L)

Free time in the morning. Lunch at a local restaurant.
After lunch, drive to Hue via Danang City. Stop over at the wonderfully photogenic fishing village of Lang Co before a scenic route climbing over the Pass of Ocean Clouds (Hai Van Pass). 
On arrival in Hue in the late afternoon, transfer to the hotel. Dinner on your own.

DAY 9: HUE CITY TOUR  -  HUE AIRPORT -  SAI GON (B/L)

Hue city was the capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 under the 13 Emperors of the Nguyen dynasties. The World Tourism Organization (WTO) has classified Hue as one of the four main attraction centers of Vietnam. Hue is famous for its magnificent architecture of citadels, palaces, pagodas, and royal tombs, built in poetic surroundings on the banks of the Perfume River.

In the morning we have a boat ride on the Perfume River and visit Thien Mu Pagoda. Our next stop is the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City, created in the 19th century for the Emperors under Nguyen Dynasty. Lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon, visit the tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, the final resting place of Vietnam's longest-reigning emperor. Located 7 km from Hue, the tomb of Tu Duc is one of the most beautiful sights in Hue. After the tour, transfer to Hue Airport for a flight to Ho Chi Minh by flight …….. Arrive in Ho Chi Minh (formerly Saigon), the largest city in Vietnam. Welcome (with a guide) at the airport and transfer to Ho Chi Minh. Check-in at the hotel. Dinner on your own.

DAY 10: SAI GON - MEKONG DELTA (B/L)

After breakfast. Full-day tour to Mekong Delta with a boat trip along the Mekong River. Here, you can have a chance to visit a coconut candy workshop & taste fresh candy- specialty. Enjoy tropical fruits, and honey tea & listen to Southern traditional music. Discover the normal life of local people in the Mekong Delta and try to ride the sampan through the Channels. Lunch at a local restaurant or a local house. After lunch back to the hotel. Dinner on your own.

DAY 11: SAI GON - CU CHI TUNNELS - CITY TOUR BY VESPA (B/L/D)

Today, you will be escorted to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels. Discover these amazing systems developed by the guerrillas fighting in the Vietnam War. You'll have an opportunity to see the various weapons used in the war on display. Then learn about the innovative ways the guerrillas survived and fought back in the war. The impressive underground system they built remains to tell the story of the Vietnam War. Lunch at a local restaurant. After that, we head back to Ho Chi Minh city. Free time for shopping.

Visa Requirements:

The visa requirements for Vietnam depend on your nationality, purpose, and duration of your visit. There are different ways to get a visa for Vietnam, such as:
