The Lotus Water Puppet Theater (also known as the Bong Sen Water Puppet Theater) is an intimate, 250-seat cultural venue located in the heart of Hanoi, right on the banks of Hoan Kiem Lake. It provides a beautifully presented, 50-minute live performance showcasing Vietnam's ancient water puppetry art form, which dates back over 1,000 years to the rice paddies of the Red River Delta. Combining classic French architectural elements with traditional Vietnamese design, this theater offers an excellent alternative to the often-crowded Thang Long Theater, giving visitors a fantastic vantage point from both the lower and upper auditorium floors.
