Day 01: Journey to Sapa – Nature’s Hidden Gem (Meals: L)

Morning: Private Transfer from Hanoi to Sapa

After checking out of your hotel in Hanoi, you will be picked up by a private vehicle with your private guide for a scenic drive to Sapa via the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway. This comfortable journey takes approximately 5 hours, passing through stunning landscapes of rolling hills and valleys.

Upon arrival in Sapa, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor authentic northern Vietnamese cuisine. 

Afternoon: Explore Silver Waterfall & O Quy Ho Heaven Gate

- Silver Waterfall (Thác Bạc) – Begin your afternoon with a visit to Sapa’s most beautiful waterfall, where cascading white waters tumble down amidst lush greenery. This natural wonder, located about 12 km from Sapa Town, is a peaceful retreat and a perfect spot for photography.

- O Quy Ho Heaven Gate & Pass – Continue to O Quy Ho Pass, also known as "Heaven's Gate", one of Vietnam’s four most stunning mountain passes.

• Marvel at breathtaking panoramic views of the Hoang Lien Son mountain range.
• Experience the thrill of the winding road as it ascends to 2,035 meters above sea level.
• Capture incredible photos of the mist-covered peaks, which often create a magical, dreamlike atmosphere.

O Quy Ho Pass connects Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces and is a must-visit for adventure seekers and nature lovers. The cool mountain breeze and spectacular vistas make this an unforgettable highlight of your Sapa trip.

Once the trip is complete, the car will transfer you back to Sapa Town, where you’ll check in to your hotel and unwind.

For dinner, you’ll have the freedom to choose your preferred dining experience. Consider:

• A Phủ Restaurant – Famous for its thang co (horse meat stew), a local specialty.

Weather Advisory – Sapa Region

Sapa’s mountain climate can be cool and changeable throughout the day. Temperatures are often lower than in lowland areas, and fog, mist, or light rain may occur, especially from May to September. Layered clothing, a light waterproof jacket, and sun protection are advised. Comfortable walking shoes with good grip are recommended, especially during the rainy season when paths may be slippery.

Day 02: Fansipan Mountain – The Roof of Indochina (Meals: B, L)

In the morning, you will have a short transfer to Fansipan Cable Station and take a scenic cable car ride up 3,143 meters above sea level to the peak of Fansipan Mountain, the highest mountain in the Indochinese Peninsula. You'll enjoy an impressive scenic view of the Hoang Lien Son Range and Muong Hoa Valley's natural landscapes as you ascend the mountain. Once you reach the top, you can spend time admiring the breathtaking views and exploring the various temples at the peak. You can immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the mountain with a visit to the Bich Van Thien Tu pagoda, Bao An Thien Tu temple, and Thanh Van Dac Lo spiritual landmarks. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Please kindly note:

• After the cable car ride, reaching the actual Fansipan Summit requires climbing around 600 steps (approximately 45 minutes of steep, narrow ascent). This section can be physically demanding and may not be suitable for everyone, so we strongly recommend taking the funicular railway for a more comfortable and safer experience, especially for children, the elderly, or those unaccustomed to strenuous activity.
• Due to the geology of Fansipan Mountain, the walks are not suitable for the elderly, disabled, asthmatic, or those who suffer from vertigo or heart conditions. The amount of steps makes it unsuitable for pushchairs or for carrying babies in a sling or backpack. If you are not used to physical exertion, then this walk could be too strenuous for you. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Fansipan Cable Car & Funicular (Mountain Train) Tickets – Important Note

Please note that round-trip tickets for Fansipan Cable Car and Funicular (mountain train) are not included in the tour package. This allows you the flexibility to choose the best time to visit based on weather and other conditions.

We recommend booking these tickets only 1 day in advance for the following reasons:

• Pre-booked tickets are non-refundable and non-changeable, even in cases of bad weather or unexpected maintenance.
• Weather conditions on Fansipan can change rapidly, and the cable car service may be temporarily suspended for safety or technical reasons.
• Booking closer to the intended travel date ensures greater flexibility

After the Fansipan adventure, return to Sapa Town for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Free Time in Sapa

The rest of the day is yours to explore at your own pace or relax after the trek. Here are some ideas:

• Visit Sapa Market – A great place to shop for handmade ethnic crafts, textiles, and souvenirs.
• Explore the Stone Church (Holy Rosary Church) – A historic French-built church in the heart of town.
• Relax with a spa treatment – Unwind with a traditional herbal bath, massage, facial, or pedicure at recommended wellness spots like Dao’s Center, Sapa Highland Spa, or Eden Massage & Spa.

Morning: Your guide will take you to the villages of the H'Mong and Dzay peoples, Lao Chai and Ta Van. This is a fantastic opportunity to capture stunning photos of the iconic rice terraces and immerse yourself in the breathtaking mountain scenery. As you walk through these villages, you’ll experience the daily lives of the local ethnic communities by visiting their homes and observing their daily activities, such as weaving, farming, and traditional handicraft making.

After exploring, we will drive back to Sapa Town for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant.

Afternoon: Transfer back to Hanoi via the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway. The journey takes approximately 5 hours.
