Day 1: Kuala Lumper - Hanoi  Arrival (D)

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport in Vietnam's capital of Hanoi, your tour guide will welcome you outside the customs area holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. The room is at your disposal from 14h00. We’ll then proceed with a sightseeing tour of Hanoi.

CITY TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

• Visit West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda where you can get a deep understanding of the local life, culture, and religion
• Explore the Old Quarter by rickshaw to view the most elegant French colonial architecture and the bustling streets in Hanoi
• Dinner at a local restaurant

Day 2: Hanoi City Excursion (B, L, D)

Full-day tour of Vietnam’s capital city, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday and Friday), the traditional stilt house, one pillar pagoda, and the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature also known as the “First University of Vietnam”. Lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon: 

• Visit Thu Huong Lacquer Arts & Workshop where you will learn about the history of lacquer, when it appeared in the world and how it developed through centuries. You will also learn about the color that is made from tree bark and the technique of using it, making the difference between Japanese or Chinese lacquer with Vietnamese one, and get to know the reason why traditional Vietnamese lacquer takes a long time to finish.
• Visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) where you can discover the diversity of Vietnam’s many ethnic groups.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a traditional water puppet show. Dinner on your own. 

Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance. Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum is closed on Fridays and Mondays and most museums are closed on Mondays. All visitors to the mausoleum are required to wear clothes covering their knees and shoulders. This applies to both men and women.

Day 3: Ninh Binh Full-Day Excursion (B, L, D)

In the morning, your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer about 2.5 hours to Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh, the capital of Vietnam in the 10th and 11th centuries.

On arrival, we will visit Hoa Lu, the capital of Vietnam from 968 AD to 1010 AD during the Dinh and early Le Dynasties, and visit the 2 temples.
11.30: Transfer to a local restaurant for Vietnamese lunch
12.30: Enjoy 2 hours boat trip to explore the beauty of Trang An Eco-Tourism Complex.
15.30: Drive back to Hanoi
17.30: Arrive at Hanoi and spend overnight there.

Day 4: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay, Overnight on Cruiser (B, L, D)

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. At around 8:00 AM, your private guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer about 3.5 to 4 hours to Halong — with a 30-minute comfort stop. Arrive in Halong in the late morning 

12.00 – 12.30: Embark on the Halong cruise. Check-in, enjoy a welcome drink & cruise briefing. Have lunch while cruising to magnificent Bai Tu Long Bay; admire the fascinating formations on the way.

In the afternoon, explore the well-hidden Thien Canh Son Cave. Back to junk for refreshing before having dinner on board.

Overnight Cruise in the Famous Halong Bay

Day 5:  Halong – Hanoi (B, L, D)

Have breakfast on board. Visit Vung Vieng fishing village by a rustic rowboat, meet the locals, and pass through the floating school and fish farms.

Disembark in Tuan Chau Wharf around noon. End of trip. Your private guide and driver will pick you up at the pier and transfer you back to Hanoi and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 6: Hanoi – Departure (B)

06h00 Am: Transfer to the Airport for the flight FD517 back to Kuala Lumper
